Apprenticeships offer a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, and improve your job prospects.
You spend one day in college and the rest of the week developing your practical skills and knowledge on the job.
We have approximately 300 apprentices studying with us at any one time. Around 200 employers support our programme in different areas ranging from dental nursing, health & social care, childcare, business administration and team leading & management.

Why do an apprenticeship?

The Presidency London College Apprenticeship programme offers students an exciting opportunity to earn while they learn.

Apprentices study on the job, building up valuable knowledge and skills. They gain qualifications and are paid a wage at the same time.

Apprentices generally spend four days a week with an employer and study one day a week at College. Training in this way provides students with job matched qualifications and a direct link into employment. The College plays a major role in supporting local businesses, boosting workforce skills and contributing to the regional economy.

The achievement rate of The Presidency London College apprentices programme is above the national average. Their successes are celebrated at an annual presentation evening that students, their families and employers attend.

Apprentices work towards a qualification at Level 2 or 3 which takes between one to two years to complete.

Course work may include functional skills such as maths and English, working in teams, problem solving, communication, using new technologies, and also ensures technical and academic progress in their chosen subject.
