INTRODUCTION :

Every organisation needs a team leader that can manage staff effectively to get great results. The responsibilities of team leaders can include staff controlling quality, managing disputes, risk assessment, planning, motivation, communication and much more. Team leaders are needed across a wide range of industries and their role in managing the day to day performance of staff is crucial in achieving business success.

At Level 2, the Team Leading Apprenticeship is specially designed to give team leaders a solid foundation in their formal development as a leader, ensuring a basic knowledge of the functions and responsibilities of the role.

The responsibilities of managers can vary from business to business, but their valuable role in ensuring the smooth operation of a business is vital across all industries. A manager’s role can involve identifying and using learning styles, setting SMART targets, conducting appraisals, being creative and innovative, empowering and motivating teams and managing budgets and resources.

The Management Advanced Apprenticeship provides the necessary skills to enable first line managers to successfully operate in a business environment. You will develop skills and knowledge to ensure that your organisation provides a high standard of service, that your staff and teams are well supported to maximise their abilities and that your business remains highly competitive and successful.

LEARNERS' ELIGIBILITY ARE AS FOLLOWS:

16-18 – these learners are fully funded by the Education Funding Agency on a per learner basis, or in the case of Apprentices, by the Skills Funding Agency based on the cost of the relevant framework.

 

19 -23 – these learners can access funding for a first full level 2 and first full level 3 (or 4), but the rules are very specific and depend upon prior attainment, employment status, location of delivery (classroom/workplace) and the qualifications being taken. This group has become smaller in recent years, reducing from the 19-24 age group, to the 19-23 age group.

 

24+ – very few of these learners are eligible for public funding. Funding is limited to those most in need: the unemployed and those without basic skills. Level 3 and 4 co-funding used to be available for certain learners in this group, but from 2013/14 all funding for 24+ learners taking level 3 and 4 is limited to loans.
