Apprenticeship grants are available for up to £1,500* to encourage more employers to recruit 16-24 year olds to new apprentice positions.
The AGE 16 to 24 Grant is available to businesses with up to 50 employees who have not employed an apprentice in the preceding 12 months.
Employers will receive the grant in a single payment of £1,500, once the apprentice has completed 13 weeks ‘in-learning’ on their apprenticeship programme. Grants can be claimed for up to five new apprentices.
The payments will be administered by the National Apprenticeship Service through their approved training provider network (e.g. Presidency London College), who will manage the payments and paperwork.
Please read our Employer Fact Sheet for more information.
